Manager: Ivan Hasek

Manager Profile

An experienced manager, Ivan Hasek had a brief five-game stint as Czech Republic coach in 2009 but the bulk of his recent roles have been in club football in the Middle East. He would return as Czech national coach in January after Pavel Nedved turned down the role, picking up a pair of 2-1 wins over Norway and Armenia in his first two games.

Scouting Report

Patrik Schick is Czech Republic’s main source of goals but captain Tomas Soucek is the heartbeat of the team and has chipped in with 12 goals from his 69 caps. His aerial presence is a serious weapon, which was highlighted as he hit double figures for West Ham this season. Not one to shy away from a challenge, he is also a leading card candidate.
